Inventory Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Warehouse Inventory Specialist to join our team. The Warehouse Inventory Specialist will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, receiving and maintaining a safe and efficient workspace. The ideal candidate has experience in warehouse logistics, strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee the flow of inventory in and out of the warehouse
  • Responsible for stocking and organizing parts storages and preparing kits for manufacturing
  • Responsible for completing and organizing all levels and types of inventory transactions using an ERP based software
  • Produce reports and recommendations to management about ways to lower inventory and reduce costs associated with inventory
  • Work with purchasing agent to assure proper purchasing techniques, available parts and shortages
  • Work with vendors to maintain proper VMI counts and processes
  • Organize scheduling efforts to provide materials in a timely matter
  • Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers
  • Receive, inspect and store incoming shipments accurately and efficiently
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and effectively
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations and industry standards
  • Identify and report any discrepancies, damages or shortages in shipments
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts
  • Work efficiently and positively with teammates and shop floor employees
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in supply chain
  • Must have forklift experience
  • Extremely strong communication skills
  • Ability to learn and multi-task
  • Strong ability to cross train in different areas
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills required
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Reasonable computer skills required
  • High School Degree
  • Manufacturing experience and knowledge preferred
  • Understanding of inventory processes and ERP systems preferred
  • Further education/some college is a plus
