The Floor Inspector is a professional who is responsible for ensuring that manufactured products meet all requirements. They use tools and company guidelines to make sure products have been perfectly crafted and are ready for the customers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Read blueprints, procedures and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies
  • Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance
  • Monitor and perform routine audits of calibrated equipment on the shop floor and in use.
  • Use automated systems to store and track all traceability and quality documents.
  • Maintain records of testing, information and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.
  • Participate in internal audits, external audits, NCR reviews, etc.
  • Inspect processes throughout the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards.
  • Inspect final units prior to shipment to ensure completion and accuracy.
  • Inspect all units for testing requirements during the production phases.
  • Work efficiently and positively with teammates and shop floor employees.
  • Stop work when something is wrong or unsafe.
POSITION REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES):
  • Proven experience as a quality inspector or in a relevant role
  • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
  • Responsible and trustworthy
  • Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, P&ID, interpret and apply procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of quality control systems (ASME BPVC, ASME B31.3, ISO 9001)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • High School Degree
  • Further education is a plus
