TREATERS (HEATER TREATERS, OIL TREATERS)
Treaters, often referred to as heater treaters or oil treaters, are separator vessels used to separate water, gas and other impurities from oil-water emulsions in the production process. RBI treaters heat the oil and water mixture, causing the water to settle at the bottom of the vessel and gas to rise to the top. This allows for any remaining impurities, such as solid particles, to settle to the bottom.
